Vishwakarma Diwas Celebration
|
|
FICSI celebrated Vishwakarma Diwas on 17 September 2022. Skill Convocation ceremony held at the premise of Ferrero India Limited, Maharashtra and Britannia Nutrition Foundation, Gwalior, MP. The trainees were given Skill India certificates in the ceremony.
FICSI conducted Online FoSTaC Basic Catering training for the employees of The Akshaya Patra Foundation and FoSTaC Basic Retail & Distribution for Women SHG at New Delhi.
Certificates were also distributed to candidates enrolled under the Vendanta Foundation Program in New Delhi. These candidates have been recruited by prestigious organisations

FICSI is making efforts fulfill the aspirations of food processing students who want to pursue a career abroad. FICSI is conducting a program in collaboration with Magic Billions. The first candidate, Mr. Vishwa from PSG College of Art And Science, COIMBATORE has been selected by Handwerkskammer for apprenticeship in Germany. Post apprenticeship the candidate will be given a permanent job based upon his performance.

Mr. Sunil Kumar Marwah, CEO, FICSI, participated in the Smart Protein Summit 2022 organised by The Good Food Institute, India on 14 October 2022 in New Delhi He was on the panel “Building the talent pool” along with other industry experts. The Summit got an overwhelmingly good response from policy makers, industry leaders, consultants and students.

Ms Pritha Tripathi, DGM, FICSI, attended the launch event of the Swasthya Bengal program in Durgapur , West Bengal on 16th October 2022. FICSI is elated to be the knowledge partner for the Swasthya Bengal program, Swasthya Bengal Programme is aimed to Strengthen awareness and educate Homemakers /Decision makers of households, Retailers, Whole sellers, other related Food Business Operators, Consumers, and children in West Bengal through sensitization programs about adulteration in spices and its ill effects and bring about an impactful change in their buying and consumption patterns.

FICSI has been empanelled as a Consulting Firm with National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) for Technical and Managerial support services in Fisheries & Aquaculture processing under Training and Capacity building program.

FICSI in collaboration with NFDB will be working to skill the youth under Fish & Sea Food processing segment under Pradhan Mantri Matasya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) program of Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, GoI.

Ethiopian delegation’s India visit to understand the functioning of the Agriculture and Food Processing Sector Skills Councils
ILO ProAgro Ethiopia project's tripartite delegation headed by State Minister of Skills visited India to understand the functioning of the Agriculture and Food Processing Sector Skills Councils and A, centres of excellence and PPP on trainings! FICSI participated in the meeting at NSDC with the Ethiopian delegation on 10th October,2022 and also facilitates the visit of Ethiopian delegates in NIFTEM-K on 11th October 2022 to showcase the existing skill infrastructure in food processing. FICSI actively engaged with the delegation during the visit and ensured upcoming cooperation on developing and strengthening the Ethiopian Skill Development architecture and their Sector Skill Council landscape.

Adarsh Gram Skill Camp Project

The project under an initiative of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, FICSI has been completed the project successfully in October within given timeframe. The project was implemented in 25 Districts of 5 States (Uttar Pradesh, Orrisa, Assam, Rajasthan & Andhra Pradesh) by 3 Affiliated Training Partners.
