FICSI launched the E-learning platform “FICSI Online Training and Assessment Academy” on 1 st June’2020 through a virtual webinar. Two special courses are designed and developed for “Safe Practices for Retailers handling Food and Safe Practices for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises manufacturing Food during COVID-19 pandemic. These courses are prepared in association with FSSAI, FICCI, NIFTEM and various Industry Partners.

The Chief Guest for the event were Mr. Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General,FICCI. Guests of Honour were Dr C. Vasudevappa, Vice Chancellor, NIFTEM and Mr Akshay Bector, President, FICSI. CMD, Cremica Food Industries Ltd. The event saw the presence of 400+ attendees.


In recognition of World Food Safety 2020, FICSI organised Special session for Food Safety & Hygiene Professionals engaged in Manufacturing, Compliance, Education & Training on Safe Practices during COVID-19. Both the sessions saw the participation of 350+ attendees. The sessions were found very interactive & insightful by all the attendees.


FICSI organised an interactive session for the colleges who wish to apply under the B. Voc (Food Processing) scheme. The session focused on UGC applications to run Skill- based programs in Food Processing for the academic year 2020-21.

FICSI organized FICSI Samvaad - The Annual Training Provider Meet 2020 on 2nd March’20 at India Habitat Centre. Mr. Akshay Bector, Managing Director, Cremica Food Ltd. & Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Under Secretary, MOFPI were also part of the event.TPs from all over India attended the event and discussed about how they can contribute in skilling in Food Processing.

RPL Training on FoSTaC curriculum was organized on 12th &13th Feb at Kaushal Mahotsav, Varanasi and was attended by 70+ Traditional Snack & Savoury Makers.Certificate of participation were presented to all the candidates for attending the FoSTac training by the Hon'ble Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey Ji.


FICSI was proud to be a part of the 48th Dairy Industry Conference organized by Indian Dairy Association from 20th - 22nd February' 20 at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur.FICSI team had great interactions with the Dairy Industry Delegates and also promoted Skilling in Dairy Processing and discussed future prospects in Dairy Sector.

Knowledge & Validation Workshop

FICSI in collaboration with Assocom Institute of Bakery Technology & Management (AIBTM) organized one day knowledge and validation workshop on Artisanal chocolate & confectionery. A good response was received from the industry experts on the new QP developed by FICSI.

Governing Council Meeting

FICSI organized the Governing Council meeting on 10th January 2020 that showed the Government & Industry collaborative efforts in Skilling for the food processing sector.Industry leaders from Cremica , Cargill , MTR Foods , TetraPak , FICCI & LT Foods reviewed FICSI performance and future plan of action in Governing Council meeting.

Visit to SNDT University

FICSI CEO Mr. Sunil Marwah, visited PV Polytechnic SNDT Women's University Mumbai on 15th January 2020 , to meet the Dean and his team and discuss regarding strengthening Skilling in Food Processing.
